Doherty said he is working with his lawyer to resolve the contract dispute, while the Shuffle's CEO said the company intends to enforce the six-month restriction Jack Doherty/Instagram

Jack Doherty says he could be forced off social media for six months after signing a contract with cryptocurrency casino Shuffle.com without fully reading its terms. He later discovered that the agreement prevents him from posting online.

The YouTuber revealed the restriction on X on Saturday, 10 October, saying he initially thought the clause was a joke but that Shuffle was now enforcing it. Doherty said he was working with his lawyer to resolve the dispute and warned that the post could be his last for a while.

Jack Doherty Says He 'F*cked Up'

'Hey guys, I think I actually f*cked up,' Doherty wrote in the post. He said he had recently signed a contract with Shuffle.com but had not read the agreement fully. According to Doherty, one of its terms states that he is 'not allowed to post online anymore'.

Doherty said he initially believed the restriction was a joke before realising that the company intended to enforce it. He said he is now working with a lawyer and trying to fix the situation.

Doherty did not disclose the value of the deal or provide the full contract, so the precise scope of the restriction remains unclear. He ended his post with the message: 'This might be my last post for a while, I'll try and be back soon.'

Shuffle CEO Says Six-Month Term Is Real

Shuffle co-founder and CEO Noah Dummett confirmed the agreement and said the reported restriction lasts six months. 'For everyone asking: yes it's real,' Dummett wrote on X. He added that it was 'money well spent to get this mf off the internet'.

Dummett also said Doherty's lawyers were pressing Shuffle to have the contract scrapped, but added that the company would 'stay strong'. The exchange shows the two sides remain at odds over the agreement. Doherty says he is trying to resolve the situation, while Dummett says Shuffle intends to stand by the contract.

How Did Jack Doherty's Shuffle Deal Happen?

The dispute followed an earlier exchange between Doherty and Shuffle on X. On 28 September, Doherty asked whether he should go live on Kick and start trading meme coins. Shuffle's official account responded: 'At this point we will pay you to shut the f*ck up.'

The exchange resurfaced on 7 October after Doherty said he was looking for brand sponsorships following disappointing performance from a Solana memecoin associated with him. He said he needed to 'get my money up somehow', prompting Shuffle to revive its earlier offer and describe it as 'legit'. Doherty subsequently signed the agreement that he now says prevents him from posting online for six months.

Who Is Jack Doherty?

Doherty is a YouTuber and livestreamer known for stunts, pranks and confrontational public content. He has also faced controversy over his livestreams, including a 2024 McLaren crash while streaming on Kick, after footage appeared to show him looking at his phone while driving. Kick subsequently banned him.

In February 2026, Doherty was removed from the Waste Management Phoenix Open after an incident involving a spectator. He was later barred from PGA Tour events, although the tour did not confirm the scope or duration of the restriction.

As of now, Doherty's return remains uncertain, while Dummett says Shuffle intends to enforce the six-month term. Because the full contract has not been disclosed, it is unclear which platforms or content are covered, when the term began or whether Doherty will remain offline for the full six months.
