Avengers: Age Of Ultron actress Scarlett Johansson finished second on the list, amassing $35.5m in the last year.

Following her roles in Spy and Tammy, Melissa McCarthy banked $23m, placing her at number three. The highest-ranked non-American actress was X-Men star Fan Bingbing, who came fourth with $21m. The 33-year-old Chinese star has endorsement deals with L'Oreal and Chopard.

With an impressive $16.5m, former Friends star Jennifer Aniston rounds off the top five following her appearances in the Golden Globe-nominated drama Cake and comedy Horrible Bosses 2. The 46 year old also has an income stream from her deals with brands Aveeno, Living Proof and SmartWater.

Erin Brockovich star Julia Roberts did not release a single movie in 2014, aside from TV film The Normal Heart, but she still managed to rake in the big bucks thanks to her ambassador roles with Givenchy, Lancome and Calzedonia. According to Forbes, the Oscar-winning actress has earned $16m.

Silver Linings Playbook star Lawrence is no doubt enjoying the last laugh after it was exposed in the Sony hacking that she was paid significantly less than her male co-stars in 2013's American Hustle.
