A man has allegedly threatened to call ICE after hurling racist insults at a Hispanic family for speaking Spanish at a Denny's restaurant in San Jose, California. He also allegedly threw two glass cups that reportedly shattered near the family's children.

The incident allegedly occurred at a restaurant off Monterey Road. Footage shared on X on 11 October shows broken glass scattered across the floor, although it does not capture the entire confrontation or clearly show the moment the cups were thrown.

The video was posted by X account LongTimeHistory, which credited the original footage to a man identified as Rsan. According to the accompanying account, the confrontation began when the man became angry after hearing the family speaking Spanish during dinner.

He allegedly threatened to contact US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and made several anti-immigrant remarks.

In the footage, the man can be heard shouting, 'This is my country!' and 'Go back to Mexico!' He also allegedly said, 'I can't wait to get rid of you immigrants!' and 'You guys have done nothing for our country!'

Other reported remarks included, 'I hate you guys!' and 'We're all tired of you guys – losers!'

The person filming reportedly tried to capture the man's face but feared being injured by flying glass.

Social Media Users Condemn Alleged Outburst

The footage prompted criticism online, with viewers accusing the man of racism and expressing concern about the children reportedly nearby when the glasses shattered.

One commenter wrote: 'Proof it's never been about legal/ illegal It's just about hate/bigotry/ignorance.'

Another said: 'These escalating incidents all over the country are the result of the relentless vitriolic dialogue spewed by the President if the United States It's totally unconscionable.'

A third wrote: 'And this racist MAGA prick what has he done for this country. The only thing he has done for this country is been a RACIST M*F* nothing else.'

The comments reflect viewers' reactions rather than independently established findings about the man's motives or political affiliations.

As of publication, it remains unclear whether police received a complaint or opened an investigation. No verified statement from Denny's regarding the alleged incident was available.

The footage does not establish the full sequence of events, and the allegations about the thrown glasses have not been independently confirmed.

Similar Incidents Renew Debate Over Threats to Call ICE

The allegations echo a widely reported incident in May 2018, when a man confronted Spanish-speaking customers and employees at Fresh Kitchen, a restaurant in Manhattan, New York.

Video showed the man complaining about people speaking Spanish and threatening to contact ICE. 'My guess is they're not documented, so my next call is to ICE to have each one of them kicked out of my country,' he said. The footage went viral and prompted widespread condemnation.

The incident highlighted how immigration enforcement threats can become part of confrontations involving language and identity.

The San Jose allegations have similarly fuelled debate about anti-immigrant hostility. However, the available footage does not establish the full circumstances, and key questions about the confrontation and any potential police response remain unanswered.
