What's Next for Meghan Markle in the UK? Duchess Shares New 'As Ever' Video Teaser Amid Acting Blow
Duchess of Sussex hints at new brand developments as acting plans face challenges

Meghan Markle has fuelled fresh speculation about her next move in Britain after sharing a cryptic new As Ever video just days before she and Prince Harry are expected to return to the UK with their children.
The Duchess of Sussex shared the short clip on Sunday, 23 August, picking apples in an orchard at the couple's Montecito home. The video ended with the As Ever branding and was captioned: 'A little hint of what's coming', prompting speculation that the lifestyle brand could be preparing a new product or seasonal launch.
The teaser comes amid reports of a setback to Meghan's rumoured acting comeback, adding another layer of interest to her plans for Britain.
Duchess Shares New As Ever Video Teaser
As Ever is Meghan's food, home and lifestyle brand, which grew out of her previous venture, American Riviera Orchard. The brand sells food and lifestyle products, while Meghan has used its social media channels to promote new launches and share glimpses of her life.
In the latest video, Meghan is seen gathering apples before the footage cuts to the As Ever logo. She does not reveal what the fruit will be used for or when a new product could be released.
The teaser comes as Meghan and Harry prepare to return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet for an extended stay. The timing has fuelled speculation over what Meghan could be planning for the brand while spending more time in Britain.
As Ever has also been moving towards greater independence after Netflix ended its operational involvement with the business earlier this year.
Meghan Reportedly Faces Acting Blow
Meghan's reported acting comeback has meanwhile been thrown into uncertainty after she was linked to Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen.
Reports said the Duchess was in talks for a role in the potential third season of the crime drama, although her involvement had not been confirmed by Netflix or her representatives.
If her role in the series were true, this would have marked her most significant scripted acting role since leaving Suits.
However, the reports were later followed by an apparent setback. Tina Brown, the former editor of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, claimed Meghan's proposed role had been withdrawn.
'I learned this morning that the casting of Meghan Markle in season 3 of Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen has been withdrawn. The backlash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward,' Brown said. The claim was subsequently reported by several publications.
However, Meghan's involvement remains unconfirmed. Netflix has officially renewed The Gentlemen for a third season, but casting details have not been finalised, leaving uncertainty over whether the Duchess will appear.
What's Next for Meghan in the UK?
Meghan's immediate focus could therefore remain on As Ever as she prepares for more time in Britain, while her acting ambitions remain uncertain.
The Sussexes are expected to return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet, although the length of their stay has not been confirmed. For Meghan, the move could provide an opportunity to develop her business while potentially bringing her closer to the British entertainment industry.
She has already taken a step back towards acting by filming a cameo as herself in the upcoming comedy Close Personal Friends.
For now, Meghan's latest As Ever teaser provides a fresh clue about her professional plans, although the Duchess has yet to reveal what is coming next.
