Ace film-maker PJ Liguori has taken his popularity to a new level by premiering his online series Oscar's Hotel for Fantastical Creatures. The show is available on Vimeo On Demand and narrates the adventures of Oliver (Chris Kendall), a young man in his 20s who was forced to manage the magical property after his uncle disappears.

"The creative motivation behind Oscar's Hotel came naturally to me. It was able to just flow because we were expanding on this world that we have already created," the YouTube star told IB Times UK in an exclusive interview.

The series premiered last week and is expected to attract a sizeable audience as Liguori -- also known as KickThePj -- has a loyal fan following with over 750,000 having subscribed to his YouTube channel.

The 24-year-old managed to rope in X-Men star Sir Patrick Stewart do a special voice-over in the series. Recalling his experience of working with the legend as "amazing", Liguori said, "I wanted actors with amazing voices...really recognisable voices. So I saw the characters. I saw Patrick Stewarts and Alfred Molina. They are very traditional and professional actors. But I really believed in the script and loved the show and the creatures being made by the Jim Henson Company. So we reached out to them and we said we would love to offer you this part and they look at the script from characters bio."

"They were just keen to do it. There was something about the characters that attracted them and they said yes," he added. Oscar's Hotel is a six-episode series, but the British film maker feels he still has many more stories to tell via the colourful creatures.

"I would personally love to have another season to Oscar's Hotel if the opportunity arises. There just some many more stories to tell that we didn't make it for the first season, that have a lot of potential and so... yes there are so many characters I would love to explore and just collaborate with Jim Henson's Creature Shop," Liguori said.

Produced by New Form Digital Studios, the show features an all-star cast of popular YouTubers including Chris Kendall, Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart and can be watched on Vimeo On Demand.
