Assassin's Creed Syndicate
The concept art depicting a fighter that looks an awful lot like Brock Lesnar. Ubisoft

During the official reveal of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Ubisoft Montreal's developers spoke at length about the new brawler-style combat being introduced to reflect the Victorian London setting. It was during this that they showed off a series of concept art images.

One of those images appears to depict former UFC and WWE champion Brock Lesnar in a bare-knuckle docklands brawl. You can't see his face, but the large back tattoo is identical to Lesnar's, and the evidence that he skips leg day (don't tell him I said that) also serves as proof.

Of course, I'm not for one second suggesting the final game will include Lesnar F5-ing Queen Victoria - though now I mention it that's all we want from the game - but it is a fun little Easter egg people have picked up on.

It's natural for concept designers and artists to take real life inspiration like this when their objective is to help shape and frame the concept they're trying to depict, not create something wholly representative of the final product.

Here the concept is a tough, fight club style scenario that depicts the game's more hard-hitting combat, and who better to get that across than the guy who has spent the last decade having scripted and non-scripted fights (sometimes of equal brutality) around the world.

With Ubisoft announcing a slew of pre-order options and special editions including special levels and DLC – the campaign starts here to make Brock Lesnar a DLC character.

I really want to F5 Queen Victoria.
