50 Cent Trolls Diddy Asserting Docuseries Is 'Coming to a Prison Near You' Amid Tablet Reports

50 Cent mocked Sean 'Diddy' Combs on Instagram after two former inmates told NBC News that Combs used a 'jailbroken' tablet at FCI Fort Dix to watch Netflix's Sean Combs: The Reckoning, the documentary series executive produced by 50 Cent.

The alleged viewing took place at the low-security federal correctional institution in New Jersey, according to NBC News.

The outlet said it spoke with four men who had spent time in the same unit as Combs, including two who claimed he had access to a modified tablet that could bypass normal restrictions.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning was released on Netflix in December 2025. Around its release, Combs' representatives accused the production of using footage they said had been stolen and described the series as a 'shameful hit piece.' Netflix rejected the allegations and said it obtained the footage legally.

50 Cent Turns Tablet Claim Into Another Diddy Joke

NBC News reported that the two former inmates said Combs used the tablet to watch films and documentaries, including The Reckoning. The outlet did not report that the Bureau of Prisons had publicly confirmed the tablet allegation, and IBTimes UK has not independently verified it.

50 Cent responded by posting a screenshot of the NBC News passage to Instagram and setting the post to Jermaine Jackson's 'Don't Take It Personal.'

'Hahahahaha check out my Emmy award winning doc sean Combs the Reckoning available on Netflix coming to a prison near you,' he wrote, adding: 'LOL STREET FIGHTER.'

The series is an Emmy winner. The Television Academy lists three nominations for Sean Combs: The Reckoning and one win, for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program. The award went to the programme's editing team, rather than to 50 Cent personally.

NBC News also reported that it reviewed footage that appeared to show Combs using a mobile phone inside Fort Dix. Federal law classifies certain mobile phones as prohibited objects in prison, and possession by a federal inmate can constitute an offence.

The footage, however, does not establish who owned the device, how it entered the prison, or whether prison officials determined that Combs committed a violation.

Combs' Spokesman Rejects Wider Prison Claims

Other former inmates quoted by NBC News made broader claims about Combs' life at Fort Dix, alleging that he spent thousands of dollars a month and obtained alcohol, access to a phone and help from other prisoners.

One former inmate said he cooked meals for Combs, while another described a prison black market in which inmates could obtain a wide range of items. IBTimes UK has not independently verified those accounts.

Combs' spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, rejected the wider portrayal, saying the media was turning 'ordinary prison life' into a story. He said Combs 'continues to serve his sentence within the rules' while awaiting a decision on his appeal.

A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson told NBC News that contraband, particularly mobile phones, remains a persistent challenge for correctional institutions and said the agency continues efforts to combat it.

Combs, 56, is serving a 50-month sentence after a jury found him guilty on 2 July 2025 of two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges and was sentenced on 3 October 2025. He is appealing his conviction and sentence.

Federal Bureau of Prisons records viewed by USA Today on 29 September listed Combs' projected release date as 21 January 2028. Projected release dates can change as sentence credits and other factors are recalculated.

Combs' representatives had challenged The Reckoning before its release. 50 Cent's latest post seized on NBC News' claim that Combs later watched the documentary from prison anyway.
