Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's family has set in motion grand celebrations as the Bollywood actress is all set to mark her first birthday as a mother on 1 November.

Rai, who turns 39, became the mother of her first child Aaradhya with actor Abhishek Bachchan just a fortnight after her 38th birthday last year, four years after they tied the knot. Aaradhya, nicknamed "Beti B", would be celebrating her first birthday on 16 November. The child's grandfather Amitabh Bachchan is well-known by similar tags like 'Big B' in the Indian media.

Though the plans of the birthday celebrations were not revealed officially by the family, media reports suggest that Rai's husband Abhishek Bachchan has planned for a private family vacation in Goa. The actor is thought to be shooting for his upcoming action thriller sequel, Dhoom 3, in Chicago and reports say he has kept the next two days free to celebrate his wife's birthday.

Since the former Miss World turned actress is deeply attached to Indian culture and religious activities, she is expected to visit a temple to seek divine blessings on her birthday.

While there has been no other update on Rai's 39th birthday plans from sources, it is time to see tweets and Facebook posts or a blog post on her from Bollywood's veteran actor and Rai's father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan. The actor, who turned 70 last month, has been a regular user of social media in the entire Indian film fraternity.
