D4vd's Tesla Linked to Celeste Rivas Case Picked Up, Ownership Transferred: PI Fear Vehicle Will Be 'Crushed'
A PI Speculated that the Ownership Transfer was to Get the Tesla Out of Public and D4vd's Name

A new development has emerged involving singer and rapper D4vd—though the focus is not on the artist himself, but on his Tesla, in which the severely decomposed remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas were discovered in the boot on 8 September 2025.
Prior to the discovery at a Los Angeles impound yard, staff had reported a persistent foul odour coming from the vehicle, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.

Four months after the discovery of Rivas' remains on the Tesla, which was registered under the singer's real name, David Anthony Burke
Months after the shocking discovery, no one has been charged for the death and concealment of the teenager's body.
Now, Private Investigator Steve Fischer has revealed that the exact Tesla has been picked up on the impound lot, and the ownership has been transferred. With this development, Fischer fears that the vehicle will be 'crushed.'
PI Steve Fischer Found D4vd's Tesla Was Picked Up
Private investigator Steve Fischer, who was hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills property rented by singer D4vd for approximately £15,700 ($20,000) per month to determine whether the home played a role in Rivas's death, has posted an update on D4vd's Tesla on X.
In his first X post, Fischer revealed that the singer's car was scheduled for auction and that he planned to inspect it, but in the final hours, someone picked it up.
He wrote: 'I had planned to attend and inspect it. However, in the final hours before auction, David, or someone with power of attorney acting on his behalf, picked it up.'
David's Tesla, the vehicle in which Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found, was held by LAPD for only 48 hours to process evidence. After that, it was returned to the impound lot for David to retrieve, which he had not done until today. The Tesla was scheduled to go to auction… pic.twitter.com/OhwCE2x4aK

Fischer also said that Tesla's storage fee reached more than $10,000 or around £7,600. He said, 'When I checked last week, the storage fees were approximately $10,500, as the vehicle had been released and available for pickup since September 10th, before Celeste had even been identified.'
The private investigator also clarified that the vehicle was held by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for only 48 hours to process as evidence, but was returned to the impound lot for the singer to retrieve.
He said: 'The vehicle was held by LAPD from Sept 8–10 under a 22655.5 evidence hold, then transferred to a downtown LA impound on Sept 10.'

PI Steve Fischer Confirms D4vd's Tesla is in New Ownership and Fear Will be 'Crushed'
In a follow-up X post, Fischer confirmed that the ownership of the Tesla was transferred to an individual, thus the pickup of the vehicle from the impounding lot.
He said, '[The Tesla] was released to an individual who presented notarized paperwork authorizing the vehicle's transfer (I've verified this). That person then transferred ownership into their own name.'

I can’t disclose the new owner’s… pic.twitter.com/PUufQ8v441
Fischer clarified that he can't reveal the identity of the new owner, as it would violate the rules of his DMV access as an investigator.
Furthermore, the private investigator speculated that the move was deliberate, saying it was 'to get the car out of public view and out of David's name.'
He also expressed concern that the vehicle might be destroyed, adding, 'I wouldn't be surprised if it's about to be crushed.'
Fischer also said, 'I hope just the thought of that vehicle haunts David, and anyone else that knew Celeste was in the trunk, for the rest of their lives.'

Celeste Rivas' Case Updates
The most recent development in the Rivas case is the arrest of Neo Christopher Langston, a 23-year-old Twitch streamer known online as NeoTheAsian and a close associate of D4vd.

Langston was taken into custody on 22 January 2026 for failing to appear as a witness before a grand jury. His arrest marks the first major update since Rivas' remains were discovered, and observers believe his testimony could be crucial in clarifying the events surrounding the teenager's disappearance.
Earlier, in November 2025, media outlets reported that D4vd had been identified as a suspect in the case, and on 29 December 2025, it was reported that he was 'likely' to face indictment in connection with Rivas' death. However, no formal indictment has been announced.
