Donald Trump Claims He 'Hates' Taylor Swift, but Uses 'Fate of Ophelia' in His Video
Donald Trump's alleged dislike for Taylor Swift recently resurfaced.

Donald Trump once claimed that he dislikes Taylor Swift. But in a shocking move, his team at the White House opted to use the singer's 'Fate of Ophelia' song in one of their TikTok videos.
The TikTok clip features different photos of Trump, as well as photos of the military and the American flag. Some of the original lyrics to Swift's song were also tweaked to better suit the images used in the video.
But what seems like an innocent move has reignited previous reports about Trump and Swift's alleged dislike for each other.
Back in September, the president of the United States posted on Truth Social that Swift is no longer a hot commodity after Trump said that he hated her.
At the time, reports claimed that Trump's negative remarks about Swift may have to do with the latter's decision to endorse Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, according to Variety.
Donald Trump Used To Like Taylor Swift?
Trump has publicly mentioned Swift on multiple occasions. Way back in 2012, the POTUS thanked Swift for a selfie that they took. However, he never posted the photo.
Around the same time, Trump also took Swift's side following the singer's split from Conor Kennedy.
Trump was also one of the first people to publicly congratulate Swift after she was tapped to host the Grammys.
But in 2018, Trump started throwing shade at the 'Opalite' singer after Swift encouraged Republicans to vote against Marsha Blackburn.
Barron Trump's father declared that he no longer likes Swift's music as much as he used to following the incident.
In 2013, Trump also spoke about Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship. During his interview with the Daily Caller, Trump seemingly threw a dig at the couple.
'I wish the best for both of them,' he initially said (via Billboard). 'I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not - most likely not,' he added.
Taylor Swift Called Out Donald Trump On Multiple Occasions
For her part, Swift has also publicly slammed Trump in the past. There was a time when the 'Wish List' singer called the president out for her fake photos.
Swift also called Trump out for saying that protesters in Minnesota should be shot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Last year, Swift showed her support for Harris by calling the latter a steady-handed and gifted leader.
'I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,' she said.

Taylor Swift on 'Life of a Showgirl' Album
Swift's 'Life of a Showgirl' album remains at the top of music charts. However, a lot of fans did not initially like the singer's new music.
Despite this, Swift said during her interview on Apple Music that the positive and negative comments are helping her album gain more traction.
'The rule of showbusiness is, if it's the first week of my album release and you are saying either my name or my album title, you're helping,' she said (via Business Insider).
