'I Was as Shocked as Anyone': Kelly Osbourne Reveals Two-Stone Weight Gain After BRIT Awards Photos
Kelly Osbourne says she was shocked by her own BRIT Awards photos

Kelly Osbourne has revealed she has gained two stone since her appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards. She admitted she was shocked by photographs that prompted concern about her weight.
During a recent interview, the 41-year-old singer said that grief following her father Ozzy Osbourne's death had left her struggling to eat and care for herself. She said she had not lost weight due to an eating disorder and described how she has sought help during a difficult year.
Kelly Says BRIT Awards Photos Left Her Shocked
Osbourne appeared alongside her mother, Sharon, at the BRIT Awards in Manchester in February, where they accepted a posthumous lifetime achievement honour for Ozzy. Photographs from the ceremony subsequently prompted widespread comments about her noticeably slimmer appearance.
Speaking to The Sun in an interview published in October, she said she had not realised how much her appearance had changed until she saw the pictures. 'I was as shocked as everyone else,' she admitted.
Osbourne said she has since gained two stone, equivalent to approximately 13 kilograms, over the following six months. The update comes after months of speculation about her health and repeated online commentary about her body. She has previously denied using weight-loss injections, including Ozempic, and has rejected suggestions that an eating disorder was responsible for the recent change.
Ozzy Osbourne's Death and Kelly's Struggle With Grief
Ozzy Osbourne died on 22 July 2025, aged 76. Kelly said losing her father affected everyday activities, including eating, as she struggled with the emotional impact of his death. 'It wasn't an eating disorder,' she explained, adding that eating made her feel physically sick. The past year also brought the end of her engagement to Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, with whom she shares her young son, Sidney.
Osbourne described visiting her father's grave with a white candle and asking him for help. She said Sharon introduced her to therapist and life coach Chris Miller the following day and credited him with helping her through the crisis. Although she called the past year the hardest of her life, she also spoke about the depth of her relationship with Ozzy and how that shaped her understanding of grief.
Kelly Reflects on Weight Criticism and Recovery
Osbourne has discussed public criticism of her weight since appearing on the family reality programme The Osbournes as a teenager. She previously recalled an entertainment executive telling her that she needed to lose weight to succeed on television.
In 2018, she underwent gastric sleeve surgery and later spoke positively about the procedure. In 2022, while pregnant with Sidney, she experienced further weight changes and developed gestational diabetes.
Her latest interview comes as she settles into life back in Britain with her son, seeking greater stability after the upheaval of the past year. She has also spoken about wanting Sidney to grow up with a different experience of fame and family life.
She said public remarks about her appearance made an already painful period more difficult to navigate. For Osbourne, the photographs that once shocked her now mark a period she says she is working to move beyond.
