Kelly Osbourne Begged Ozzy for Help at His Grave Before Sharon's Surprise Visit With 'Man in Mustard Jacket'
Kelly said her grief left her feeling 'everything inside me was dead' and thought Sharon was going to send her to rehab

Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she went to her father Ozzy Osbourne's grave with a white candle and begged him for help during the darkest period of her grief. She said the ritual came at a time when she was struggling so badly after his death that she could barely care for herself.
The 41-year-old recalled losing a significant amount of weight and facing intense scrutiny over her appearance. She described writing a wish on the candle before her mother Sharon arrived the next day in a black Mercedes, accompanied by a man wearing a mustard-coloured jacket.
Kelly Begged Her Dad Ozzy for Help at His Grave
Kelly said her grief left her feeling as though 'everything inside me was dead' and that she did not want her three-year-old son Sidney to see her in that state. 'I went to my dad's grave with a white candle and I wrote a wish on it saying, "Please help me,"' she told The Sun. Kelly said she practises candle magic and that her father had told her he would send her messages.
The following day, Sharon appeared with a man 'in a mustard-colored jacket' Kelly initially feared was connected to a rehabilitation programme. 'I thought: "Oh, here we f**king go again." I thought she was going to send me to rehab,' Kelly said. Instead, Sharon introduced her to Chris Miller, a therapist and life coach whom Kelly credits with transforming her life.
Sharon's Surprise Visit Changed Kelly's Recovery
Kelly said Miller became an important part of her recovery and credited him with helping her make changes she had struggled to make on her own. 'He is a therapist and life coach, and he changed me in so many ways I never thought possible,' she said.
The disclosure comes as Kelly reflects on a year marked by grief, weight loss, a breakup with former fiancé Sid Wilson and renewed scrutiny over her appearance. Ozzy died on 22 July 2025, aged 76, after suffering a heart attack. Kelly has previously described his death as one of the hardest experiences of her life.
Kelly Osbourne Explains Dramatic Weight Loss
Kelly said she has gained nearly 30lb since appearing at the 2026 BRIT Awards in February, where her dramatic weight loss drew widespread attention. 'I didn't know that I looked like that until I saw the pictures,' she said. 'When I saw them, I couldn't f*cking believe it. I was as shocked as everyone else.'
She also rejected speculation that she had an eating disorder, explaining: 'It wasn't an eating disorder. I just couldn't do anything for myself.' She said she struggled to eat because food made her feel as though she wanted to throw up.
Kelly has previously spoken about the harsh reaction to her appearance, saying she was too unwell at the time to cope with the online scrutiny.
Kelly's Return to the UK
Kelly has moved back to Britain from Los Angeles with Sidney, saying she wants her son to have a more stable childhood away from the pressures of growing up in the public eye. She has said being closer to Ozzy's grave is another reason for returning to the UK, while also embracing a quieter life and becoming more involved in her son's school.
Despite the difficult year, Kelly has described her grief as painful but meaningful because it reflects how deeply she loved her father.
