Rock of Ages Actress Malin Akerman Expecting First Child
Swedish-Canadian actress Malin Akerman is pregnant with her first child. The Rock of Ages actress is married to Roberto Zincone, the drummer in her former band The Petalstones. The couple have been together for five years and the news was confirmed by Akerman's representative to People magazine.
Akerman and Zincone met in 2003 and were married in Italy, on 20 June, 2007. The Swede was voted the ninth hottest woman in the world in Maxim's 2012 list.
"I really hit the jackpot," she told Women's Health in 2009, "Roberto is so accepting and supportive. People would say, 'I'll give the two of you five years.' But it gets better and better every day."
The actress's parents split when she was six years old and she admits she loves spending time with her husband's large Italian family.
"It's seems like every time we visit Italy, there's a new family member to eat lunch with!" she said, adding, "I've always wanted a big table of kids. But we'll probably end up having two of our own and adopting one."
Meanwhile, as every couple does, they do have fights but Akerman says they resolve it soon and get back to each other. And despite busy schedules, she says the two of them take pains to ensure the romance in their relationship stays alive.
"We rarely bicker. We'll sort of fume at each other and then we'll figure it out," the actress told US Weekly, adding, "We've had some really great experiences. When I was shooting [2009's "Couples Retreat"] in Bora Bora, he came out there and it was like a honeymoon that we never had. We get really lucky and we make it work."
The Wanderlust star was last spotted at the 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where she looked stylish in a low-cut black J Mendel dress and Rupert Sanderson shoes, carrying a Giuseppe Zanotti bag and wearing Neil Lane jewels.
Akerman has a number of big film roles in the pipeline, including the lead in Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story and appearances in Breacher, Trophy Wife, Wildwood Inn and Serpent Girl.
