Megyn Kelly Says Cornell Jane Doe May Have Said 'Yes' to Four Men Because She Felt 'Sexy and Desired'
Kelly called Jane Doe 'not the most attractive gal' and 'extremely beefy'

Megyn Kelly has ignited controversy over the Cornell University sexual assault case after suggesting Jane Doe may have consented to sex with four men because the attention made her feel 'sexy and desired', while also making pointed remarks about the former student's appearance.
Speaking on The Megyn Kelly Show on 5 October, the conservative commentator offered her own theory about what may have happened during the alleged October 2024 assault at Cornell's Chi Phi fraternity house. Jane Doe alleges in a civil lawsuit that she was given alcohol and drugs before being sexually assaulted by multiple men.
Megyn Kelly Says Jane Doe May Have 'Liked' Feeling Desired
Kelly questioned why more consideration was not being given to the possibility that Jane Doe had willingly participated in sexual activity with four men.
She suggested the student may have viewed the attention as 'a win' while intoxicated and 'liked the feeling of being sexy and desired and wanted'.
'It happens. Sorry, it does. And that's why she kept saying yes,' Kelly said.
The remarks represented Kelly's interpretation of the disputed events, rather than an established account of what occurred.
Kelly Targets Cornell Jane Doe's Appearance
Kelly also repeatedly referenced Jane Doe's appearance while explaining her theory.
She described the woman as 'not the most attractive gal' and 'extremely beefy' in her arms and legs. Kelly then suggested Jane Doe may have been 'thrilled' by the attention because she 'clearly didn't grow up the incredibly beautiful one'.
'I'm not trying to be insulting,' Kelly said while arguing that consensual sex should be considered as a possibility.
What Jane Doe Alleges Happened at Cornell
Jane Doe filed a civil lawsuit in September against Cornell University, seven former Chi Phi fraternity members and others.
She alleges she was supplied with alcohol, marijuana and ketamine before being sexually assaulted by multiple men at the fraternity house in October 2024.
No criminal charges have been filed against the seven men. Lawyers for some of the accused have denied the allegations, while some students maintained during Cornell's investigation that the sexual activity was consensual.
Cornell's disciplinary process resulted in two men being expelled and two suspended for at least two semesters. One had graduated before punishment could be imposed, while two were found not responsible for sexual misconduct.
Jane Doe later left Cornell, according to her lawyer.
Cornell Sexual Assault Case Faces Renewed Investigation
The allegations are now receiving renewed criminal scrutiny.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul appointed Attorney General Letitia James as special prosecutor after concerns emerged over the original handling of the case. Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten had previously declined to bring charges before reopening the investigation following Jane Doe's lawsuit.
Cornell has separately appointed former US Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to conduct an independent review of the university's response to the allegations and its handling of sexual misconduct complaints.
Megyn Kelly Tells Olivia Rodrigo to 'Shut Up'
Kelly also targeted Olivia Rodrigo after the singer publicly supported Jane Doe and criticised Cornell's response.
'Shut up and stick to singing,' Kelly told Rodrigo, accusing the pop star of commenting without understanding the full circumstances.
Rodrigo had declared 'I stand with Jane Doe' on Instagram while calling for accountability.
Jane Doe's civil lawsuit remains pending as the allegations face renewed criminal scrutiny.
