Ukrainian Valeria Lukyanova, 21, who became an internet sensation when she was declared a real-life Barbie doll earlier this year, is back in the limelight, thanks to a recent photo shoot in lingerie for V Magazine, and her twin.

Lukyanova has also found 24-year-old Olga Oleynik, who calls herself Dominica, and who has undergone similar surgeries to make her look like a living doll. They both have icy-blue eyes, doll-like features, long blonde hair and sleek bodies which make them look like real-life Barbies.

"We met on the internet five years ago," Lukyanova told the Daily Mail, explaining that both come from the Ukrainian city of Odessa.

"We were curious about our similarities," she said. "We had the same hairstyle, make-up and even dressed in a similar way. Our friends were sure that we were blood sisters. We are really sisters - but only in spiritual way. We have the same outlook and lifestyle."

According to the Daily Mail, the two have been holding lectures on spirituality at £50 a session and have openly claimed that they use their looks to attract participants.

Lukyanova calls herself "the most famous Russian woman on the Russian-speaking Internet" and the two hope to move to the United States to further cash in on their looks.

"We are planning to move to America soon. Dominica's boyfriend is living in the US and my husband wants to start a business there too," she said. "I am not going to be bored abroad; I'm often invited to photo-shoots and parties."

This obsession to look like a doll is not the first. A 15-year-old, Venus Angelic, as she is known online, had gained much popularity for her YouTube tutorials on how to look like a living doll.

Though Lukyanova has come in for praise and criticism in equal measure over claims that she has used cosmetic surgery to alter her physical appearance, some people insist this human Barbie doll has an unhealthy obsession with her looks.

Psychologists have put forward the theory that Lukyanova lives in a fantasy world because she finds being her "authentic self" uninspiring.

Check out this video, reportedly of Lukyanova winning a beauty contest in 2007, which seems to suggest that there has been some alteration in her physical features since then.
