Simu Liu has married Allison Hsu in France, nearly four years after the couple first went public with their relationship and more than a year after the actor proposed during a romantic Paris getaway. The wedding marks the latest chapter in the couple's relationship, which began publicly in 2022.

The couple reportedly tied the knot over the weekend of 3 October. Liu and Hsu exchanged vows in France. The pair had announced their engagement in May 2025 after Liu proposed in Paris.

Who Is Allison Hsu?

Hsu, 30, is Vice President of Digital Marketing at Interscope Records, where she has worked since 2017. A UCLA graduate, she joined the record label as an intern in 2017 and worked her way up through its digital marketing team.

She has worked on digital and social campaigns for major artists including Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, FINNEAS and Holly Humberstone.

Her work has included campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, as well as digital advertising, custom AR lenses, website builds and launch campaigns. Forbes named Hsu to its 30 Under 30 list for music in 2022, recognising her work at Interscope.

The Shang-Chi actor has also said that Taylor Swift's music played a role in the early stages of their relationship.

Simu Liu Marries Allison Hsu In France

Liu, 37, and Hsu celebrated their wedding in France over the weekend of 3 October, according to PEOPLE and TMZ. Details of the ceremony, including the venue and guest list, have not been publicly disclosed.

The wedding came after months of celebrations leading up to the couple's planned nuptials. Hsu shared glimpses of those festivities on Instagram, including a bachelorette trip to Tulum, Mexico, which she documented in September with the caption: 'Miss to mrs with all my b*tches.'

She had also celebrated a bridal shower in August, adding to the build-up before the couple's French wedding.

Inside Their Paris Proposal

Liu proposed to Hsu in May 2025 during a trip to Paris, with the Eiffel Tower providing the backdrop. Hsu later shared photos from the proposal on Instagram, showing off her engagement ring and writing: 'Us forever.'

The proposal came with an extra surprise for Hsu, who is a longtime Swift fan. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in December, Liu said he contacted Swift's publicist and asked her to record a congratulatory video for Hsu.

Swift sent it two days later, and Liu played it for his fiancée after proposing. 'Taylor Swift was the cherry on top,' he said, recalling that Hsu 'completely lost it' when she saw the video.

Liu and Hsu were first romantically linked in late 2022 and made their relationship Instagram official in November that year. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Los Angeles premiere of Violent Night later that month.

In 2023, Liu spoke warmly about Hsu, telling PEOPLE that she had 'absolutely changed my life'. The couple continued appearing together at premieres, awards events and on social media before announcing their engagement in May 2025.
