Trump Walking Clip Revives Diaper Rumours, but Viral Natalie Harp Image Was Previously Debunked
A viral walking clip fuelled fresh speculation, while an altered image showed how unsupported claims can become attached to genuine footage

President Donald Trump drew fresh online attention on Thursday, 1 October, after video showed him changing direction while walking towards Marine One. Trump was leaving Washington for campaign events in Denton, Texas, and Durant, Oklahoma, at the start of a 32-day midterm campaign push.
The footage prompted jokes and unsupported claims that Trump was wearing an adult diaper. The recording provides no evidence of incontinence or any medical explanation for his movement.
For context, the trip marked the start of an intensive campaign stretch ahead of the 3 November midterm elections. Reuters reported that Trump began the tour in Texas and Oklahoma, where he sought to support Republican candidates in congressional races.
Donald Trump Walking Clip Draws Fresh Online Scrutiny
The footage circulated widely on X after Trump approached the presidential helicopter. One post had attracted about 33,000 views when IBTimes UK reported on the clip on 2 October.
One X user wrote, 'OMG - Trump can't walk in a straight line on his way to Marine One.' Another compared his movement to a 'shopping cart with a broken wheel'.
Other users speculated about Trump's leg, eyesight and balance. Those comments were individual interpretations of a brief video, not medical assessments.
The clip shows Trump changing direction as he walks towards the helicopter. It does not establish why he moved that way or indicate that he had a particular medical condition.
Trump's departure came as he intensified campaigning ahead of the midterms. Reuters reported that his Texas and Oklahoma appearances opened a 32-day campaign blitz.
He appeared first at a Peterbilt Motors facility in Denton before travelling to Durant for a rally. Weather concerns kept the presidential aircraft grounded after his arrival in Texas. The motorcade instead made the journey to Oklahoma by road.
As the walking footage spread, some posts detached it from that political context and revived longstanding claims about Trump's bodily functions.
Nothing visible in the recording establishes that Trump was wearing an adult diaper. Nor can the footage show whether his movement had any medical significance.
Donald Trump Diaper Rumours Revive Altered Natalie Harp Image
The speculation also brought renewed attention to a viral image involving Natalie Harp, a White House aide to Trump.
Harp's official title is special assistant to the president and executive assistant to the president, according to her 2026 White House financial disclosure.
The image circulated in July 2026 and appeared to show Harp carrying a black handbag containing several white objects. Some social media posts claimed the objects were adult diapers intended for Trump.
That image had been digitally altered.
A fact-check traced it to an authentic photograph taken on 16 April 2024 outside Manhattan Criminal Court. In the original, another Trump aide, Margo Martin, was holding the black handbag.
The bag did contain unidentified white objects, but there is no evidence establishing what they were. No credible source identified them as diapers.

The manipulated version made Harp appear to be holding Martin's bag. It also added a uniformed man and a briefcase that were absent from the authentic photograph.
That detail matters because describing the original as showing no bag or no white objects would also be inaccurate. The verified distinction is who carried the bag and what the image can prove.
The photograph does not establish that Harp was carrying diapers for Trump. It also does not identify the white objects in Martin's bag.
Some users later linked the altered image with the new walking footage. That connection adds no evidence to the underlying allegation.
The two viral items therefore need to be treated separately. The video records how Trump moved during a brief walk towards Marine One. The altered image misrepresented who was carrying a bag in a 2024 photograph.
Neither establishes that Trump was wearing an adult diaper or experiencing a medical problem.
