X Factor rejects Amelia Lily, Jonjo Kerr, James Michael and 2 Shoes are returning to the show in the biggest twist of the season following the scandalous axing of wild boy Frrankie Cocozza.
The acts, who were sent home by their mentors in the first live shows have been handed a life -line by show bosses after Frankie's shock booting on Tuesday opened up a spot on the talent show.
The tearaway teenager was promptly sent home with his tail between his legs when he 'broke the golden rule' and allegedly boasting about using class A drug, cocaine.
News of the his exit travelled fast but even girls mentor Kelly Rowland was reportedly stunned when she received the news and Mentor Gary Barlow was 'hugely disappointed' that the wannabe rockstar had thrown away his opportunity after working so hard.
Speculation and reports quickly spread that one of the show favourites, The Risk and Johnny Robinson, would be returning to the show after being sent home last weekend.
But ITV have now confirmed that each of the acts that were sacrificed by mentors Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland ,Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh on the first live show would be getting their 15 minutes once again.
An X Factor spokesperson said: 'The four acts have never been in a public vote so, with Frankie leaving the competition, this is an opportunity for the public to decide who comes back to the show.'
Details of how the vote will run will be confirmed by X Factor bosses today.
