Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot Caught Cuddling In Coldplay Concert: Who Is The Astronomer's Affair Partner?
Cabot, Astronomer's Chief People Officer, joined the company in 2024 and has a background in HR and diversity advocacy

A brief moment at a Coldplay concert has placed two senior executives at US-based AI firm Astronomer under intense public and professional scrutiny. Andy Byron, the company's chief executive officer, was recorded embracing Kristin Cabot, Astronomer's Chief People Officer, during a 'kiss cam' segment at Gillette Stadium in Boston.
The video, part of Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour visuals, showed Byron wrapping an arm around Cabot as they appeared unexpectedly on the venue's jumbotron. Both appeared visibly startled before pulling apart. Lead singer Chris Martin joked, 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy', prompting mixed reactions from the audience.
The footage soon circulated on TikTok and X, formerly known as Twitter, where online users identified both individuals through LinkedIn profiles and professional headshots. Public interest escalated given their senior roles at the same company and speculation that both may be in other relationships.
Who is Kristin Cabot?
Kristin Cabot was appointed Chief People Officer at Astronomer in November 2024. Based in Massachusetts, she has over 15 years of experience in human resources leadership, having held senior roles at Neo4j, Proofpoint and other technology companies focused on data and cybersecurity, according to her LinkedIn profile. She holds a degree in psychology and has frequently spoken about the role of empathy and inclusion in building high-performing workplace cultures.
Describing herself as 'strategic and values-driven' on her LinkedIn profile, Cabot has expertise in diversity, equity and employee wellbeing in her past work, according to a company press release in 2024. Her personal blog, though now set to private, reportedly included reflections on workplace burnout, remote leadership and women in tech.
Divorced in 2022 and a mother of one, Cabot had largely maintained a low public profile until this incident. When she joined Astronomer, Byron praised her for her 'deep expertise in talent management and cultural development', according to Page Six.
Personal Lives in the Public Eye
The private lives of both executives have now become a focus of public attention. Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, is reported to have removed his surname from her social media accounts before deleting them entirely, San Francisco Chronicle reported. Meanwhile, Astronomer has disabled comments across its official social media platforms. Neither Byron nor Cabot has made a public statement.
On Reddit and corporate forums, current and former employees have voiced frustration. Some described Byron as a 'toxic' manager, according to the New York Post, suggesting that the Coldplay footage may point to wider cultural problems at Astronomer. Others raised concerns about the ethics of executive relationships within the workplace, particularly in roles that shape organisational policy and employee wellbeing.
For those asking - I’m no longer involved in @astronomerio - yes I was co-founder and early CEO - not on the team or board since 2022, and have no information on ColdplayGate

Astronomer should have already fired him. He blames others for his own mistakes, compromises the ethics of the entire company, and obviously cannot be trusted to honor any sort of contract.

Reputational Impact
The incident comes at a significant time for Astronomer, which positions itself as a leading platform for data orchestration using Apache Airflow. According to its 2025 State of Airflow report, more than 77,000 organisations use its tools, with clients including FanDuel and Booking.com. The company has not formally addressed the matter.
What began as a fleeting moment during a live concert has evolved into a test of internal culture and executive accountability. Whether the company will respond more directly remains to be seen.
