Critics Hilariously Slam Trump for Saying He's Skipping the Super Bowl: 'Was He Invited?'
Bad Bunny released song mocking Donald Trump

Donald Trump has announced he will not attend this year's Super Bowl on 8 February, citing the distance to San Francisco as too far to travel. The president also expressed disappointment with the half-time show performers, Bad Bunny and Green Day, both of whom have been vocal critics of his administration.
Last year, Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. Following the event, he described Bad Bunny as an 'absolutely ridiculous' choice for the half-time show, claiming he had no idea who the artist was or what he was doing. His latest comments about skipping this year's event have sparked mockery from critics who questioned whether he was even invited.
Trump's Super Bowl Critique
Trump stated that he disapproves of the half-time performers, telling the New York Post: 'I'm anti-them. I think it's a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.'
However, the president clarified that Bad Bunny and Green Day are not the primary reason for his absence. He maintained that the venue's distance from Washington is the deciding factor. 'It's just too far away. I would. I've [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me. I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter,' he said.
Trump Mocked for Super Bowl Comments
Critics immediately took to social media to react to Trump's statement, with many suggesting he had not been invited to the event. Others noted that his attendance was irrelevant to fans' enjoyment of the game.
'Woke will never be dead! And the NFL as well as everyone else enjoying the Super Bowl, pre-game, and halftime shows, don't give a **** about the little tantrums Trump and MAGA throw every time they don't get their way. Y'all act like children,' one person wrote.
'Donald Trump hates American things like the Super Bowl. That's why he doesn't go to them. He is the worst representative this country has ever had in the eyes of the whole world,' another person wrote.
'Who gives a **** what Trump thinks about the Super Bowl? So sick of this traitor's crap being flung at us 24/7. Lock the felon up,' another person wrote.
'He won't attend. Best news all day. Now we won't have to look at him,' a fourth person reacted.

Bad Bunny Criticises Trump
Bad Bunny has been a vocal critic of Trump. Last year, the Puerto Rican artist released a song called Nuevayol that featured an imitation of the president's voice. 'I made a mistake. I want to apologise to the immigrants in America...This country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans,' the lyrics read.
The artist also explained why he removed all US stops from his tour, expressing concern about Immigration and Customs Enforcement appearing outside his venues. 'And it's something that we were talking about and very concerned about,' he said, according to Newsweek.
This year's Super Bowl will take place at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco, marking one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. The halftime show featuring Bad Bunny and Green Day represents a significant cultural moment, with both acts bringing politically charged performances to one of America's largest television audiences.
