Undoubtedly one of the main highlights at the 2012 Grammys will be the comeback performance of British singer Adele, as she recovers from surgery to her throat last year.

The hugely successful singer, whose debut album "21" sold an insane number of copies, has been nominated for six major categories in this year's award, including "Song of the Year", "Album of the Year" and "Record of the Year".

Although there will be a noticeable pall of gloom over the awards ceremony (to be held in Los Angeles) because of the death of American pop icon Whitney Houston, the focus will definitely be on the British lass as she takes to the stage. Her performance on Sunday is expected to have a viewership of 25 million!

It appears the organisers were doubtful, initially, over Adele's ability to perform. If they have any lingering doubts, then Adele's sneak preview of her 2012 Grammys concert - on Cooper Anderson's talk show "60 Minutes Overtime" - should dispel rumors!

Meanwhile former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, Cold Play and Bruce Springsteen are scheduled to be the other major performers at the 2012 Grammys.
