Katie Price Says Lee Andrews 'Scammed My Heart' as Crypto, £72k Ring and Mansion Claims Collapse

Katie Price has confirmed she is ending her marriage to Lee Andrews after questioning claims about his wealth, including a $50 million (about £37 million) cryptocurrency fortune, a £72,000 engagement ring and a Dubai property he presented as being worth tens of millions of pounds.

The former model told ITV's Good Morning Britain that she still had feelings for Andrews but had lost trust in him after checking some of the claims herself. She said she had never been interested in his money and described the breakdown of the relationship by saying she felt he had 'scammed my heart'.

Andrews disputed Price's account in a voice note broadcast on the programme, insisting his cryptocurrency funds were genuine and that she had checked the wrong wallet. Speaking from detention in Dubai, he maintained that he had more than $50 million in USDT and said his funds had been legitimately earned.

£2.22 Wallet Raises Questions

Price said concerns about Andrews' wealth developed during their relationship, which she described as lasting around nine months.

While on holiday in Marbella, she asked a friend with cryptocurrency knowledge to help check a wallet Andrews had provided. It showed a balance of £2.22, despite him having previously told her it contained millions.

She confronted Andrews and received further explanations about the funds. He allegedly continued to insist the money would appear in the wallet, but she saw no change.

Andrews gave a different explanation, saying Price was not sufficiently familiar with cryptocurrency and had accessed the wrong wallet. He maintained that the funds existed and said he had made his money through cryptocurrency trading and other business activities.

Ring Valuation Adds to Dispute

Price also questioned the value Andrews had given her for an engagement ring.

He had told her the jewellery was worth £72,000. When she took it to be valued while arranging insurance, she was told it contained lab-grown diamonds and was worth about £5,000.

Price stressed that she had no objection to lab-grown diamonds, but questioned the substantial difference between Andrews' valuation and the figure she received.

Similar questions arose over a Dubai property shown to her in photographs and videos. Andrews had presented it as being worth tens of millions of pounds, but when Price visited Dubai, they were unable to enter. She said he explained that the property was subject to a civil matter.

The incidents led Price to question other claims Andrews had made about himself. She also said people had previously warned her about him, but she continued to defend him until she began checking information for herself.

Marriage Ends After Trust Breaks Down

Andrews' repeated assurances that he would soon return to the UK also contributed to the breakdown of the relationship, Price said. For months, she was told his release was imminent, but the expected dates repeatedly passed without him returning.

Price said she still had feelings for Andrews but could no longer continue the relationship without trust.

Andrews said in his voice note that divorce was probably the best outcome but maintained that he still loved Price. He also said his detention in Al Awir was linked to civil matters and that difficulties accessing judges had affected delays in his release.

The financial claims remain disputed, with Price maintaining that the information she checked did not match what Andrews had told her, while he insists his cryptocurrency fortune is genuine and that she accessed the wrong wallet.
