Kendall Jenner has proved that they you can go a long way if you know the right people.

The 18-year-old reality star, who is the half-sister of Kim Kardashian, has ramped up her plans to take over the fashion world after landing a modelling job with Givenchy.

Jenner, who has walked for brands such as Chanel and Marc Jacobs, features in Givenchy's 2014 fall campaign alongside models Peter Brant, Mariacarla Boscono and Jamie Bochert.

Although she is slightly hidden in the newly-released advert, her stunning looks still commands attention.

In one of the promo images, posted on Instagram, she rocks dark lips and a snake-skin print dress while sitting on an elaborate chair.

The other snap shows her once again seated but this time in what appears to be a leopard print fur coat. The look is completed with her centre-parted locks worn straight.

Jenner's looks are considerably more demure than the slashed floor-length dress she wore to the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto. The daring gown, designed by Fausto Puglisi, featured elaborate embellishment all over.

"She's unique in wanting to turn her back on her celebrity when it comes to modeling, she's with a smaller very respected agency called Society who work specifically with high-end designers, photographers and stylists," British stylist Katie Grand said earlier this year.

"It would have been easy for Kendall to go with a bigger agency and gone down a celebrity route but she wants to be taken seriously as a model just like the rest of them," Grand added.

While Jenner is definitely carving out a lucrative modelling career, it does help that her older sister is close friends with some of the industry's biggest names.

Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci was the designer behind the stunning lace dress Kim Kardashian wore for her cliff-top wedding to rapper Kanye West.

In April the superstar couple realised their dream to appear on the cover of Anerican Vogue magazine after winning over editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
