Adam Sandler's Daughter Sadie Targeted by TikTok Trolls: From Chanel 'Humiliation' to Creepy Hair-Product Ads
A series of TikTok ads promoting low-quality or suspicious hair-growth products was flagged by online users

Sadie Sandler has largely stayed out of the spotlight. Unlike many celebrity children, the 19-year-old daughter of Adam Sandler has kept her public presence minimal, rarely posting on social media and avoiding the influencer economy altogether.
That privacy, however, was disrupted recently—first by a viral TikTok rumour, and now by a wave of unsettling promotional ads that appear to misuse her image.
What began as an alleged Chanel flap bag drama has evolved into something more troubling.
The Chanel Story That Wouldn't Die
In January, TikTok users began sharing a video claiming that Sadie Sandler had been 'humiliated' at a Chanel boutique in Beverly Hills. According to the story, she allegedly entered the store dressed casually, browsed a rare $28,600 (approximately £21,650) Classic Flap bag, and was dismissed by staff who questioned her ability to buy it.

The video went further, alleging that Adam Sandler later confronted the staff and spent more than $300,000 (about £227,000) on handbags in retaliation. The narrative—framed as a modern 'Pretty Woman' moment—spread rapidly across social media.
But none of those claims were verified either by the Sandler family or Chanel.
Several media publication labeled the story unconfirmed or false, and no evidence placed Sadie Sandler at the boutique at all. Despite this, the rumour continued to circulate, boosted by reposts and commentary accounts that presented it as fact.
A Viral Lie, Real Consequences
While the Sandler family remained silent, the damage was already done. The rumour pushed Sadie Sandler's name into trending feeds, exposing a young woman with no public-facing brand to an audience primed for speculation.
Within weeks, some users began noticing something stranger.
A series of TikTok ads promoting low-quality or suspicious hair-growth products was flagged by online users. The ads featured heavily altered images of Sadie Sandler with her face warped, smoothed, or unnaturally distorted, presented in before-and-after style transformations that implied endorsement.
Multiple users reported seeing nearly identical videos uploaded repeatedly by different accounts, each advertising a new product. The images were described as uncanny, with artificial lighting, facial inconsistencies, and text errors commonly associated with AI-generated or aggressively edited content.
Online Reaction and Growing Unease
Fortunately, it's not that easy to fool the internet with AI scams and hoaxes. Reacting to the ads, many users expressed confusion and discomfort, with many questioning why a private individual and a celebrity's daughter were being used in this way.
Some speculated the images were early-stage AI composites. Others suggested the ads were engagement bait designed to provoke alarm or curiosity.
Several commenters noted that the accounts posting the ads appeared to be recently created and used erratic hashtags, misspelt words, or rapidly reposted identical videos—signs commonly associated with bot-driven campaigns.

Despite widespread reporting by users, the ads continued to surface on TikTok feeds into February.
What makes this case particularly unsettling is the target. Sadie Sandler does not promote products, does not operate a public influencer account, and has made no statements endorsing any brand. The use of her likeness appears entirely unauthorised.
Furthermore, neither Sadie Sandler nor her parents has addressed the Chanel rumour or the ads.
