Amid rumours of HTC's next One series flagship smartphone, leaks have surfaced about its new name and hardware features.

Upleaks, known as a credible source for information about HTC devices, has said HTC's upcoming high-end model will be called HTC Hima and not HTC One M9.

The source then offers insight into the hardware features of the smartphone through tweet posts, as early Christmas gifts for HTC fans.

Based on the information shared by Upleaks, HTC Hima will pack a 5in full HD screen having 1080p resolution. It will use 64-bit computing Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, with four Cortex A57 cores running at 2.0GHz and four Cortex A53 core fixed at 1.5GHz, and paired with 3GB RAM.

Other salient features include a 20.7 megapixel camera. The front-snapper could be either a 13 megapixel or a four megapixel UltraPixel Camera. It is expected to have a 2840mAh battery.

It will run Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense v7.0 on top. In terms of connectivity, HTC Hima will offer VoLTE, CA and LTE Cat.6.

HTC will launch the smartphone for all major US carriers. There will be a variant of the device called Hima Ace, which looks like an affordable version of HTC Hima, similar to the HTC One E8. The Hima Ace with dual SIM card support will be available for users in China.
