Musk Declares War On Trump's 'Porky Pig Party': Threatens To Form New 'America Party' Amid 'Big, Beautiful Bill' Feud
Musk threatened to form an 'America Party' due to the bill's 'insane spending' and deficit increase

With a direct challenge to President Donald Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill,' the tech titan Elon Musk has not only launched a blistering critique but also threatened to establish a new 'America Party,' intensifying a highly public and increasingly acrimonious feud.
This move underscores Musk's ongoing influence and his readiness to challenge established political norms, even within the Republican party itself.
Musk's Swift Return to the Political Fray
Despite earlier indications of withdrawing from political discourse, Elon Musk promptly re-entered the arena. On Monday, as the Senate deliberated President Donald Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill' before its conclusive vote, Musk issued a stark caution via his social media platform, X.
Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame!

And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.

If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.

Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.
Just hours later, he escalated his stance, declaring on X that if the 'insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.'
Trump's Counter-Attack and DOGE Threat
Trump launched a late-night counter-attack on social media, threatening Musk with an investigation by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump posted on Truth Social, writing, 'Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.'
'No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE. Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!' he added.
Resurfacing the 'America Party' Proposal
Musk had voiced strong opposition to Trump's proposed bill for weeks, culminating in a very public and heated disagreement with the former President earlier this month. This included a series of posts on X several weeks ago where Musk first floated the idea of establishing a new political party.
It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!

Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.
That proposal gained new life on Monday, with Musk stating, 'It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!! Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.'
Musk's Concrete Political Threat
Musk's declared intention to back candidates challenging incumbent members of Congress in primary elections represents one of his most significant political moves since he stepped down as a White House adviser.
Musk dedicated over $275 million to support Trump and other Republican candidates in the 2024 election. Despite this substantial investment, he indicated in an interview late last May that he intended to reduce his political contributions, suggesting he had 'done enough.'
Records from the Federal Election Commission show that Musk's political action committee, America PAC, last contributed financially in March to the campaigns of two Republican candidates, Randy Fine and Jimmy Patronis, who were running in Florida's special elections.
The Rift Over Domestic Policy
Musk has consistently advocated for policies such as closed borders, deportations, and halting illegal immigration, aligning with the Trump administration's stance. However, this particular domestic policy bill appears to have caused a significant disagreement between the Tesla CEO and the White House, per CNN.
According to the 54-year-old business magnate, the Republican legislation will drive up the national debt, describing it as 'debt slavery.'
According to a Congressional Budget Office estimate released on Sunday, the Senate bill is projected to increase the deficit by nearly $3.3 trillion (£2.40 trillion) over the next decade. This figure is notably higher than the House-approved version of the bill, which was estimated to add $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the same period.
The Senate's proposal includes more significant tax cuts, fewer spending reductions, and various measures aimed at generating revenue. In contrast, the White House has maintained that the bill will slash deficits and the national debt, simultaneously 'unleashing economic growth.'
The Trump administration and certain Senate Republicans are choosing to omit the cost of extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts when assessing the bill's impact on the federal deficit.
Subsidies and EV Mandates at Odds
While Musk has stated that his opposition to the legislation isn't driven by the removal of electric vehicle (EV) and solar energy subsidies, he has voiced concerns that the bill 'gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future.'
The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 28, 2025
Utterly insane and destructive. It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future. https://t.co/TZ9w1g7zHF
In his Truth Social post, Trump defended his stance on EV mandates, asserting that 'Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign. Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one.'
