Pamela Anderson has finally addressed the growing online storm surrounding Meghan Markle's new Netflix cooking show — a series fans claim bears an uncanny resemblance to Anderson's own critically acclaimed Prime Video lifestyle programme.

Appearing on Bravo's Watch 'What Happens Live!' with Andy Cohen, the 58-year-old Baywatch icon responded coolly when asked how much she thought Markle's show had 'ripped off' hers, rating the overlap a mere 'one' on a scale of one to ten. "I didn't look," she said with a shrug. "But I mean, I didn't invent cooking shows. She's just doing her thing."

Fans See Double: Two Shows, One Suspicious Format

While Anderson's response was measured, viewers online have been far less restrained. The two series — Anderson's 'Pamela's Cooking with Love' and Markle's 'With Love, Meghan' — share remarkably similar aesthetics: both feature glamorous former actresses hosting celebrity guests in charming, sun-drenched kitchens, highlighting rustic recipes, and wielding wicker baskets filled with farm-fresh produce.

Critics, however, have argued that only one of them feels remotely genuine.

'So similar it's freaky,' wrote one early reviewer of Markle's Netflix debut, which aired in March 2025. Others branded it 'copycat television' and accused Markle of indulging in 'inauthentic lifestyle cosplay.'

Pamela's Ratings Sizzle as Meghan's Show Flounders

Anderson's series, commissioned by Canadian broadcaster Flavour Network in early 2023, premiered on Prime Video earlier this year and quickly became a critical darling. Its trailer had already been released in October 2024, months before Markle's show dropped its first teaser. Anderson's show currently boasts a strong 8.6 rating on IMDb, while Markle's has languished with a 3.2.

'Pamela's show demonstrated actual cooking and was... dare I say... authentic,' one viewer posted. 'Watching Meghan sprinkle flowers on food and transfer pretzels from one bag to another as if it were an original idea was laughable. Pam is personable and natural — Meghan, not so much.'

Markle's 'Domestic Tips' Stir More Eyebrows Than Applause

Ahead of her show's release, Markle gave an interview to People magazine in which she offered so-called 'domestic wisdom', including advice such as plating takeaway food to make it look elegant.

'I like being able to do a hybrid,' she said. 'Even when I get a takeout, I will try to plate it beautifully.'

The internet, predictably, wasn't impressed. 'Transfer food to a plate... revolutionary,' one sarcastic comment read.

Meghan's Netflix Deal Under Pressure Amid Poor Performance

Markle, 44, also discussed the bumpy road in launching her new brand 'As Ever', which followed a trademark battle that scuppered her original label, American Riviera Orchard. 'It's a learning curve,' she admitted. 'I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out.'

Despite widespread ridicule and poor viewership figures, Markle confirmed a second season of With Love, Meghan is in the works — even as rumours swirl that her and Prince Harry's $100 million Netflix deal may be on thin ice.

The show failed to break into Netflix's Top 300 during the first half of 2025, and embarrassingly, was outperformed by reruns of Suits— the legal drama that first brought Meghan Markle to fame.

Pamela Comes Out On Top as Fans Crown Her Queen of the Kitchen

Anderson, by contrast, has been praised for her laid-back charm, sincerity, and on-screen warmth. 'Pam's right, she didn't invent cooking shows,' one fan said. 'But one of them feels real, and one of them feels painfully forced.'

Though Anderson has remained gracious and refused to throw direct shade, the court of public opinion has spoken — and Meghan Markle, it seems, has some reheating to do.
