Beyoncé Bans Photographers from Mrs Carter Show Tour
Superstar diva's anger at unflattering Super Bowl images prompts press ban
Unflattering pictures from her 2013 Super Bowl performance sparked hilarious internet memes but it seems that Beyoncé did not like being the brunt of the joke.
The 31-year-old diva has banned all press photographers from her Mrs Carter tour.
Queen B is apparently taking no chances after the February mockery and has hired her own photographer to capture her best angles.
Picture Group's CEO and chief photographer, Frank Micelotta will be the only person granted photo credentials for her string of concert dates.
Beyoncé's company, Parkwood Entertainment, will distribute between three and five approved images for use in the media.
"Photographers: There are no photo credentials for this show. Local news outlets, including print and online, will be given a link to download photos from every show. They will need to register to access the photos," a statement of Micelotta's Facebook page reads.
The ban came after the singer was subjected to taunts and jokes following the release of snaps showing her pulling an array of bizarre facial expressions.
It was widely reportedly that the red-faced Single Ladies hitmaker urged her US publicist Yvette Noel-Schure to contact a number of publications to ask them to remove the unflattering images from their articles.
"I am certain you will be able to find some better photos," Noel-Schure wrote.
Beyoncé is scheduled to start her UK leg of her tour in Birmingham on Friday (26 April).
