Congratulations are in order for Natalie Portman, who is pregnant with her second child. The Hollywood actress returned to promotional duties this week and chose the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival to debut her growing bump.

For the not-so-subtle announcement, the 35-year-old donned a white Grecian-style gown by Dior. She was a vision in the simple silk ensemble and the elegant look accentuated her petite frame.

A source told People magazine, that the Oscar winner and her husband, French choreographer Benjamin Millepied, are expecting their new addition this winter.

The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California, are already parents to five-year-old son Aleph.

Portman has been promoting her new film Planetarium. The drama, directed by Rebecca Zlotowski, tells the story of a pair of sisters touring 1930s France as mediums trying to replicate their act on film after meeting a visionary French producer while performing in Paris. The role marks her first project with a French director since her role in Luc Besson's Leon in 1994.

Portman appeared in high spirits as she posed for photographs with her co-stars Johnny Depp's daughter Lily Rose Depp and Emmanuel Salinger.

The brunette beauty was also in Venice to promote Jackie, the new biopic on First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy biopic, in which she plays the titular role. The film is set in the aftermath of Kennedy's death, and follows the icon as she fights through the grief of her husband's assassination to regain her faith and define the late president's legacy.

Portman recently admitted that playing the former first lady was one of the most challenging roles her career. She told Variety: "Everyone knows what she looked like, sounded like and has kind of an idea of her."
