Who Is Roland Beainy? 'Trump Burger' Co-Founder Faces Deportation – Here's Why
Roland Beainy, co-founder of Texas' Trump Burger chain, is accused of overstaying his visa, entering a sham marriage, and misusing the Trump brand without authorisation.

Roland Mehrez Beainy, a 28-year-old Lebanese national and co-founder of Texas's Trump-themed burger chain, is facing deportation after US immigration officials said he overstayed a 2019 visitor visa and sought legal status through a fraudulent marriage. He insists the claims are 'not true'.
ICE says Beainy entered the US in 2019 on a non-immigrant visitor visa and failed to depart by 12 February 2024; agents arrested him on 16 May 2025, and an immigration judge granted bond on 13 June while proceedings continue.
About Roland Beainy and His Marriage 'Sham'
Roland Beainy entered the United States in 2019 as a non-immigrant visitor. At present, he operates Trump Burger branches in Bellville, Flatonia, Houstan and Kemah. For reference, he had opened his first restaurant branch at Bellville in 2020.
The Fayette County Record reported that, as per the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Beainy applied for legal status after allegedly marrying a woman. However, the agency said that there's no proof that he ever lived with her during their marriage.
Beainy would be detained on 16 May, five years after the launch of his first Trump Burger location. Officials noted that his political leanings won't shield him from Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration.
While he was placed into immigration proceedings, he would be granted bond in June. Beainy has been on record to deny the allegations, deeming them 'not true' in a statement to the Houston Chronicle.
However, an ICE spokesperson disagreed in a statement released last Saturday.

'Despite false claims to the contrary, Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States,' they said.
Under the current administration, ICE is committed to restoring integrity to our nation's immigration system by holding all individuals accountable who illegally enter the country or overstay the terms of their admission. This is true regardless of what restaurant you own or political beliefs you might have.'
The DHS noted that officials have revoked Beainy's petition for immigration status. This comes after members of his own family admitted that his marriage was 'a sham designed to game the system'.
'This person has no Green Card, a history of illegal marriages, and an assault charge. DHS is actively pursuing all legal avenues to address this flagrant abuse of our immigration laws,' said a DHS spokesperson in a report by Fox News Digital last Saturday.
Beainy's Other Legal Conflicts
As mentioned, he was never permitted to use the Trump name for his burger chain. However, he only received a cease-and-desist letter in February this year from The Trump Organisation, President Donald Trump's private business.
Their attorneys accused the establishment of 'misleading the public into falsely believing that your business is affiliated with the Trump Organisation or endorsed by our clients'.
They demanded that Beainy stop using the Trump brand, scrub all references from marketing materials, and provide a 'full accounting of all revenues' generated from the alleged misuse. Legal actions were to be pursued if the demands weren't met.
In another matter entirely, Trump Burger sued their landlord in Kemah, Texas, last June. This is rooted in Archie Patterson allegedly forcing staff out and taking control of the location.
Patterson responded with his lawsuit, accusing Beainy of unpaid debts. However, this matter is still a developing story. Geoffrey S. Binney, the attorney representing Beainy, is not providing further details at this time.
