The HTC Evo 4G LTE smartphone includes an ImageSense chip. The device packs HD voice technology, Near Field Communication (NFC) and Google Wallet. The device's camera features an instant capture and HD video. The HTC Rezound was released in November and was the first HTC smartphone to offer Beats Audio. It includes Beats ear buds which are designed to combine with the Beats Audio software.

The HTC Evo 4G LTE exhibits a 4.7in Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It covers Corning Gorilla glass and HTC Sense 4.0 UI.

In contrast, the HTC Rezound shows up a 4.3in S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It incorporates HTC Sense 3.5 UI.

Processor

The Evo 4G LTE is powered by a 1.5GHz Krait dual-core CPU and Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset. It contains an Adreno 225 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).

In comparison, the Rezound is powered by a 1.5GHz Scorpion dual-core CPU and Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon chipset. It packs an Adreno 220 GPU which features an improved 3D graphics performance level.

Camera

The Evo 4G LTE and Rezound have an eight megapixel rear-facing camera.

The sporting features in Evo 4G LTE are auto-focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection along with simultaneous HD video, image recording as well. It allows for video recording of 1080p with stereo sound recording and video stabilisation. It offers a secondary camera of 1.3 megapixel for video calling.

The Rezound features auto-focus, dual LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilisation, face detection and instant capture. It includes a front-facing camera of two megapixel.

Operating System

The Evo 4G LTE runs on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, whereas the Rezound runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It could be upgradeable to Android 4.0 ICS.

Storage

Both smartphones have an internal storage of 16GB and 1GB RAM. In addition, they offer a microSD card slot which is expandable up to 32GB.

Connectivity

Both smartphones feature Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with DLNA and Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Evo 4G LTE offers support to Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, while the Rezound provides Bluetooth 3.0 wireless technology.

Battery

The Evo 4G LTE packs a Li-Ion 2000mAh standard battery which allows for talk time of up to seven hours 30 minutes.

The Rezound boasts a Li-Ion 1620mAh standard battery which allows for talk time of up to six hours 24 minutes. It offers stand by time of up to 261 hours.
