Romford teen dragged off bus by her hair during assault by three women
Police are appealing for information after a 19-year-old woman was assaulted and dragged off a bus by her hair in east London. CCTV footage taken from inside the bus shows three women getting on near Sports Direct, in Western Road, Romford and sitting beside the 19-year-old.
An argument broke out between the women, resulting in the driver asking them to leave. When they refused, one of the suspects hit a 20-year-old female passenger on her head, before grabbing the 19-year-old woman and dragging her off the bus. Another of the women then kneed her in the head.
Officers are now investigating and are keen to speak to anyone who recognises any of the three suspects shown in the CCTV footage.
The first suspect is described as a woman in her mid 20s with dark brown curly hair, a black coat with a fur-lined hood, black rucksack and dark leggings. Suspect number two is described as a woman in her early 20s with shoulder-length dark hair, dark coat with a fur-lined hood over a red shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
The third suspect is also described as being in her mid 20s with shoulder-length blonde hair, camouflage top and bottoms, black body warmer and white trainers. Witnesses said she was called Toni by one of the other suspects and described as having "very white teeth".
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or 01708 779173 quoting reference number 5406579/16 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
