The long-standing alliance between the Beckhams and Ramsay families has been tested as celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay weighed in on Brooklyn Beckham's increasingly strained relationship with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham. Ramsay reminded the younger Beckham to remember where he came from.

Brooklyn made headlines in January after posting a scathing six-page Instagram post about his family. In an effort to protect his wife, Nicola Peltz, and their marriage, Brooklyn said critical things about the Beckhams. Ramsay attempted to neutralise the family feud, but his intervention appears to have backfired.

Digital Snub Follows Ramsay's 'Infatuation' Claims

Brooklyn Beckham unfollowed Gordon Ramsay on Instagram, Page Six reported. The move signals a definitive break in their long-term friendship. Brooklyn's decision came after the celebrity chef shared his assessment of Brooklyn's current priorities and his marriage to heiress Nicola Peltz.

Ramsay suggested that the aspiring chef had become somewhat blinded by his domestic life, which led to friction with his parents. The chef's assertion that Brooklyn is 'infatuated' with his new life appears to have been the catalyst for the social media block.

Brooklyn's move may have left Ramsay blindsided because the latter had expressed support for the former. Ramsay even said he loved Brooklyn.

'Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible,' Ramsay said of Brooklyn.

Apparently, Ramsay was mistaken. Their relationship was not as solid as he thought. Ramsay still follows Brooklyn on Instagram, however.

'Love Is Blind'

Brooklyn Beckham was probably not happy with how Ramsay described his feelings for his wife, Nicola. The Michelin-starred restaurateur suggested that he was only infatuated with Peltz.

'But it's hard, isn't it, when you're infatuated? Love is blind. It's easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back,' Ramsay said.

Beyond his comment on Brooklyn being infatuated, Ramsay called on the younger Beckham to reconcile with his parents. In the interview, the renowned Scottish-born chef said he understood that David and Victoria's son was trying to 'forge his own way', but he had to 'remember where you came from'.

'One day you're not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that,' Ramsay added. 'That penny will drop. I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself. And remember: you're half mum, half dad. And you're an amazing young man.'

By siding so clearly with the parents, Ramsay has positioned himself as a vocal critic of Brooklyn's recent behaviour. This stance has clearly alienated Brooklyn, who seems to view such advice as an intrusion into his private affairs.

Brooklyn Prioritises Nicola Over Parents

Brooklyn Beckham has repeatedly made it clear that his priority is his wife, Nicola Peltz, over his parents. In his post in January, he accused his mother of 'hijacking' his first dance with his wife, alleged that his parents tried to get him to sign over the rights to his name and were disrespectful to Peltz, and claimed they prioritised their brand over their family.

Brooklyn spoke out against his parents and called them performative. He also made it clear that he didn't want them in his life anymore.

'I do not want to reconcile with my family,' he wrote.

Meanwhile, he has doubled down on his commitment to his wife. On Christmas Eve, he shared a photo of them holding hands and wrote, 'my everything.'

The snap features the back of Brooklyn's hand tattooed with the words, 'beautiful girl Nicola'.
