'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson became involved in a physical confrontation with his neighbour, Ronnie Taylor, at his Tennessee home, with footage of the incident circulating widely on social media. The initial clip showed Ritchson striking Taylor.

Days after the incident, the 'War Machine' actor broke his silence with a post on social media. New bodycam footage has since emerged, suggesting Ritchson did not instigate the confrontation.

Alan Ritchson Responds on Instagram

Following the spread of footage showing him in a confrontation with his neighbour in front of his two children, Ritchson took to Instagram to address the situation indirectly. The actor shared a quote attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte that read: 'Never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake.' The post was widely interpreted as a response to the public accusations against him after he was filmed striking Taylor.

Supporters responded in the comments section. 'I know you're way too good of a dude to do that unprovoked. I'm with Alan all the way on this one,' one wrote. Another said they did not believe Ritchson would have 'acted that way without being provoked or assaulted first.'

Bodycam Footage Reveals Profane Exchange Before Brawl

While the initial footage showed Ritchson striking Taylor, it subsequently emerged that Ritchson had been wearing a bodycam. The new footage shows the sequence of events before the physical confrontation.

The recording begins with the actor attempting to navigate his motorcycle along the street outside his home when Taylor blocks his path. The audio captures Taylor directing a barrage of profanities at the actor, allegedly over the motorbike's noise. Taylor complained that Ritchson was riding his bike 'like a f***ing lunatic' in the neighbourhood.

Ritchson can be heard asking Taylor to move multiple times before the exchange escalated. Taylor pushed Ritchson and his motorcycle to the ground twice before Ritchson struck him multiple times. This was the exact moment captured in the viral clip.

Neighbour Accuses 'Reacher' Star of Assault in Front of Children

The dispute first went viral when Taylor spoke to the media, claiming he was the victim of an unprovoked attack. Taylor alleged the actor struck him multiple times while he was in a vulnerable position. He also shared a photo of his bruised and swollen face after the encounter.

'I did push him because he was coming towards me on his bike,' Taylor said, noting that the second time he pushed Ritchson, he 'got off his bike and he kicked the crap out of me.' Taylor added: 'He hit me in the back of my head [and] I went to the ground and covered myself.'

Taylor said he was trying to address concerns about noise in the neighbourhood from the loud exhaust of Ritchson's vehicle.

Legal Investigation Continues

Local authorities in Nashville have confirmed they are reviewing all available footage, including the bodycam evidence. No charges have been filed against either party, though the investigation remains active.

Ritchson declined to comment when approached on Monday, saying: 'There's an active investigation.'
