Ant McPartlin has left London behind.

The 'I'm a Celebrity' presenter has spent more than £10 million ($12.5 million) on a new-build mansion in Surrey, completing a move that puts him among some of Britain's wealthiest celebrity residents and ends a difficult few years at his Wimbledon address, the Mail on Sunday revealed.

McPartlin, 50, sold his seven-bedroom Wimbledon mansion two months ago after a row with neighbours over protected trees. The stamp duty on his new Surrey property came to more than £1 million ($1.25 million), and locals say the sale has broken records for the area.

'It is one of the prime private estates in an acre of grounds, so he shouldn't have trouble with the neighbours any more,' one resident told the newspaper. 'It's all anyone is gossiping about.'

He has moved with his wife, Anne-Marie Corbett, 47, their son Wilder, who is 18 months old, and her teenage daughters, Daisy and Poppy, from a previous relationship. The family has already been spotted around the village.

'He looks very content and is always happy to say hello to people who recognise him,' another local said, 'but I don't think he will be bothered too much around here as we are used to all the celebrities packing out the local hostelries.'

The precise address has not been made public, but the estate sits somewhere in north Surrey. Sir Cliff Richard, former Chelsea captain John Terry, rapper Stormzy, and Gary Lineker all own property in the wider area, according to reports. The county has long drawn wealthy buyers looking for good schools, golf courses, and easy access to London without the density of the capital.

Average detached house prices in Surrey sit at around £963,000 ($1.2 million). On the priciest streets, that figure climbs to £2.63 million ($3.3 million). McPartlin paid well above even that.

Tree Dispute Soured Wimbledon Years

McPartlin bought his Wimbledon property for £6 million ($7.5 million) in 2019, not long after he started seeing Anne-Marie. They spent heavily on it. A swimming pool went in, along with Victorian-style changing rooms, two single-storey extensions, a cinema, and five reception rooms.

Then came the trees. McPartlin wanted six of them gone. They were protected by a Tree Preservation Order. Neighbours objected loudly. One letter accused him of acting 'on a personal whim' and argued there was 'no justification' for felling healthy trees just to re-landscape the garden, Hello Magazine reported.

McPartlin backed down. He submitted new plans keeping all six trees, but the relationship with the neighbours never recovered. His representatives say the planning dispute had nothing to do with the move. They point to 'family reasons' instead.

Thirty Miles From His Television Partner

The new house puts McPartlin more than 30 miles from Declan Donnelly, his co-presenter since they were teenagers on Byker Grove. Donnelly still lives in Chiswick with his wife Ali and their children Isla, seven, and Jack, three. The pair used to live on the same street and were constantly in and out of each other's homes.

Money is not an issue for either of them. They recently signed a three-year extension with ITV worth an estimated £30 million ($37.5 million), which keeps them at the broadcaster until 2028, ITV confirmed. That will mark 30 years since they first joined the channel to host SM:TV. The deal covers I'm a Celebrity, Britain's Got Talent and Limitless Win. Their combined shows have now been streamed more than 688 million times on ITVX.

Donnelly, meanwhile, has reportedly bought his third house on the same London street where he already owns two.

A Fresh Start After Difficult Years

McPartlin's life looked very different not so long ago. In 2018, his marriage to makeup artist Lisa Armstrong ended after 11 years. That same year, he was convicted of drink-driving and fined £86,000. He stepped away from television for several months. Anne-Marie, who had been working as his personal assistant, helped him get back on his feet.

They married in August 2021 at St Michael's Church in Heckfield, Hampshire. Wilder arrived in May 2024. The Surrey move looks like an attempt to give his young family the kind of space and quiet that Wimbledon, in the end, could not provide.
