Anna Camp Reveals Bisexuality at 43 — 'Pitch Perfect' Star's Net Worth, Film Career, and Relationship with Jade Whipkey
After two marriages to men, the 'Scream 7' actress says she wrestled with guilt over not embracing her identity earlier

Anna Camp spent years building a life she thought she understood. Two marriages. A thriving Hollywood career. Then, at 43, she realised she wasn't done evolving.
The Pitch Perfect star has publicly come out as bisexual, making the announcement on the I've Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast in an episode airing 10 March. Camp, whose net worth sits at an estimated $4 million (£3 million) according to Celebrity Net Worth, didn't hold back.
'I don't think that I've ever said this in a public forum,' Camp said in a preview clip shared by People. 'As a 43-year-old woman, I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age. I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticising and judging and making assumptions. I'm really proud to be bisexual.'
The Relationship That Changed Everything
Camp's announcement comes nearly a year after she went public with Jade Whipkey, a 24-year-old writer and stylist. The couple made their red carpet debut at the June 2025 premiere of Bride Hard, Camp's action-comedy with Rebel Wilson.
The 19-year age gap drew immediate attention online. Camp fired back on Instagram via a comment on PinkNews' post: 'I've dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them. We have more in common than anyone else I've ever dated and can literally talk about anything and everything.'
Whipkey has spoken just as openly. In a Valentine's Day Instagram post, she wrote: 'My child self is still jumping up and down. Anna you have healed so many parts of me and bring me closer to the girl I am.'
Last year, Camp told Cosmopolitan the couple was 'surprised by the hubbub' surrounding their relationship but grateful for the support. 'We're so happy together,' she said.
Two Marriages, One Realisation
Camp married actor Michael Mosley in 2010. They divorced in 2013. She then married Skylar Astin, her Pitch Perfect co-star, in 2016. That marriage ended in 2019.
Looking back, Camp described the emotional weight of coming out after years of heterosexual relationships.
'You think you know yourself, and you think you've got this idea of who you are, and that's how your life is going to go,' she told DiDario. 'To continue to evolve as a person means that your partners can either evolve with you, or not. And I find myself really having a major evolution in my 40s, and not being afraid of it.'
In an October 2025 interview with Out Magazine, she admitted the journey wasn't simple. 'The largest obstacle I faced this year personally was juggling the emotions about coming out in my 40s,' Camp said, 'which included guilt for not embracing it sooner and excitement for finally being free from the constraints that had been placed on me by society and my upbringing.'
A Box Office Hit and a Personal Milestone
Camp's timing couldn't be better professionally. She stars as Jessica Bowden in Scream 7, which has grossed $149.4 million (£111 million) worldwide since its 27 February release, according to Box Office Mojo. The film set a franchise opening record with $63.6 million (£47.4million).
She also appeared in Netflix's You in 2025, playing the dual role of Reagan and Maddie Lockwood.
Attending the Bride Hard premiere, Camp and Wilson, who wed designer Ramona Agruma in September 2024, celebrated their mutual personal development. In the middle of lighthearted online chatter about the Bellas' community influence, the pair emphasised their authentic bond, with Camp highlighting Wilson's significant support as they both embraced their true selves in the spotlight.
Why This Matters Beyond Hollywood
Camp's story hits differently for anyone who's wondered if it's 'too late' to live authentically. She's not a twentysomething influencer. She's a 43-year-old actress with two divorces, a successful career, and a girlfriend nearly two decades younger.
'Sure, there are times I feel like I am taking a risk and this is scary,' Camp admitted on the podcast. 'But to say, "No, I only get one life, and I want to be happy," that's what life is all about.'
She spent years building a life she thought she understood. Turns out, she was just getting started.
