Keith Urban is reportedly considering a tell‑all interview to 'set the record straight' about his divorce from Nicole Kidman, after the Oscar-winning actor appeared to describe her 'family' as consisting only of their two daughters in a recent interview published in the US on Monday, 25 March. The former couple, both 58, finalised their divorce in January, ending a long-running marriage that has now spilled into a quiet but pointed PR battle.

The alleged tension stems from Kidman's comments about life after the split and how she sees her home life with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. In an interview with Variety, she stressed that they would 'continue to be [a family],' with no mention of Keith Urban as part of that unit.

According to Star Magazine, that omission has struck a nerve with the country star, who allegedly feels he has been cast as the villain and frozen out of the public narrative around the break‑up.

Keith Urban Bristles At Nicole Kidman's 'Family' Comment

The news came after Kidman's remarks were interpreted by some as a deliberate line in the sand. When asked about her family, she clarified that she was talking specifically about herself and the couple's teenage daughters.

'I am, because I'm always going to be moving toward what's good. What I'm grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That's that. Everything else I don't discuss out of respect. I'm staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that's what we'll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women, the Babygirl actress told Variety.

The same insider characterises Kidman's stance as 'ice cold' and suggests she is 'not done punishing Keith.' There is no public evidence that Kidman has intentionally tried to punish her ex beyond choosing her words carefully in the press.

Urban, the source claims, has so far allowed suggestions that he was to blame for the break‑up to circulate largely unchallenged. He is said to feel that he has kept his counsel, taken the hits, and tried not to escalate matters, only to find himself written out of the picture anyway. 'He's let the narrative about him being the villain circulate without correcting it, and he gets no thanks,' the insider says.

A Tell-All From Keith Urban Would Mark A Sharp Turn

Against that backdrop, the idea that Keith Urban might sit down for a tell‑all conversation is doing the rounds. The same source speculates that 'it won't shock anyone if he decides to tell all in some fashion, to set the record straight. What does he have to lose?'

Urban has long cultivated a genial, grateful public persona, careful around personal drama. A revenge-flavoured interview would be a marked departure.

There is, however, a conspicuous lack of on-the-record confirmation. Neither Urban nor his representatives have publicly announced any plans for a sit‑down or memoir. Kidman, for her part, has not responded to suggestions that she 'erased' her ex from her definition of family, beyond what is printed in the interview itself.

At this stage, everything about a potential tell‑all remains speculative and should be taken with a grain of salt.
