Donald Trump UFO Files: Former Defence Chief Reveals ‘Satellite Proof’ Of Alien Craft The White House

Donald Trump is under growing pressure to release classified UFO material after former US defence official Christopher Mellon claimed in New York on Monday that the government holds 'shocking' satellite imagery and videos of apparent 'non-human craft' that look unlike anything the United States has ever built.

Curiosity over what Donald Trump may have seen or been briefed on about UFOs has simmered since his time in the White House, when he occasionally teased that he knew 'interesting' things about unidentified phenomena but stopped short of declassification.

That low, persistent background hum of speculation has now been turned up several notches by Mellon, who served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Intelligence under both Bill Clinton and George W Bush and is widely regarded, even by sceptics, as someone who understands how America's secret-keeping machinery actually works.

Christopher Mellon's Claims About Donald Trump And 'Non-Human Craft'

Speaking to the New York Post, Mellon said the US government is sitting on a cache of material that, if made public, would radically sharpen the UFO debate. Among it, he claimed, is satellite imagery of objects that do not resemble any known US or allied aircraft.

'We have satellite imagery of craft that sure don't look like anything that we have built or constructed,' Mellon said, describing what he alleges to have seen first hand as a senior insider. He referred to photos and videos of a 'ship' that he believes defies conventional explanation, at least in terms of known human engineering.

Mellon is not some fringe figure operating on the margins of Washington. He played a central role in the 2017 release of the now-famous 'Tic Tac' footage, which showed fast-moving, white, capsule-shaped objects tracked on US Navy aircraft sensors, manoeuvring in ways that military pilots and radar operators struggled to reconcile with known aerodynamics.

Those clips, initially obtained through official channels and later acknowledged by the Pentagon as genuine, helped drag UFOs; or, in official jargon, 'unidentified aerial phenomena'; out of conspiracy forums and into mainstream congressional hearings. They also triggered a wave of online theorising that has never really subsided.

Mellon now says the Tic Tac videos were only part of a much larger trove. According to him, there is a 'significant number' of additional recordings from the same kinds of military systems that the public has never been allowed to see.

'There's a significant number of videos from the same sources that were judged unclassified in 2018; gun cameras on F-18s, Forward Looking Infrared [FLIR] videos; that have been withheld from the public,' he told the Post. 'I know there are because I've seen some of them. And there's no rational reason that I can think of why those videos are being withheld.'

It is an unusually blunt accusation. Coming from a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence, it lands differently from the usual rumour mill, and it inevitably leads back to Donald Trump, who at various moments has flirted with the idea of declassifying more UFO-related material.

Where The Alleged UFO Files Might Sit In Government

Pressed on whether any of the files he has seen amount to proof of an advanced, non-human civilisation, Mellon was more cautious. He admitted that, in his view, none of the imagery is likely to 'concretely' demonstrate contact with extraterrestrials. The videos and satellite images may be deeply puzzling, he suggested, but they are not a smoking gun.

Even so, he argues they are precisely the kind of data that should be open to broader scientific scrutiny rather than confined to secure servers and classified archives. Mellon went further, alleging that multiple powerful agencies hold documents or recordings that would be 'relevant' if Donald Trump or other senior officials pushed for fuller disclosure.

He named the Pentagon, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the National Security Agency, the Defence Intelligence Agency, the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration as entities likely to be in possession of potentially important UFO-related material.

'I have a feeling bureaucracy is going to react slowly and I don't think they're gonna put the best stuff out quickly, if they do at all,' he said. In his view, only sustained political pressure will shift that reflex. 'Congressional vigilance is needed to ensure a thorough and effective process.'

That is where Donald Trump's name keeps resurfacing. Supporters of wider disclosure believe a president who has already demonstrated a taste for overturning institutional norms could, if he wished, force a more aggressive release of UFO files and satellite material.

Whether Trump ever chooses to do that remains unresolved. Nothing in Mellon's interview confirms that such an order is imminent, and no timetable has been set.
