Teen Girls Make Daring Escape After Being Lured Into Kidnapper's Car
The girls were lured into a car, but bravely jumped out from a moving vehicle, escaping a potentially deadly situation

Two teenage girls narrowly escaped a suspected kidnapping in Los Angeles after leaping from a moving vehicle, in what police have described as a frightening and highly dangerous incident that remains under investigation.
The girls, aged 12 and 16, managed to free themselves after being lured into a car by a man who repeatedly approached them while they were walking together on Sunday evening.
Repeated Approaches Before Girls Entered Vehicle
According to People, the incident began near North Hills Park at around 5:20 pm, when a man in a vehicle approached the girls and offered them a ride.
Police said the suspect approached them multiple times, and although the girls initially refused, they eventually entered the car after being asked again.
Detective Efren Gutierrez told local media that the suspect continued pursuing the girls before they agreed to get into the vehicle, a decision that quickly escalated into a dangerous situation.
Doors Locked as Situation Turned Disturbing
Once inside, the situation changed dramatically. Authorities said the man locked the doors and drove away from the route the girls had requested, taking them instead to a more secluded residential area.
According to police accounts cited by the report, the suspect then began offering the girls money, alcohol, and drugs.
Detective Gutierrez said the man also 'unzipped his shorts' and asked for sexual favours in exchange for money, highlighting the severity of the alleged intent.
'The girls were frightened,' Gutierrez said, describing the moment the situation became critical.
Daring Escape From Moving Vehicle
Despite the danger, both girls managed to escape.
Police said one of the teenagers exited the car while it was stationary, while the other made the far riskier decision to jump from the vehicle as it was still moving.
Gutierrez confirmed: 'The first girl jumped out while the car was stationary, and the second girl jumped out of the car while it was in motion.'
Remarkably, neither girl sustained physical injuries during the escape, and both reached safety and sought help.
Their actions have been widely described as quick-thinking and courageous, given the risks involved in jumping from a moving vehicle.
Suspect Remains at Large
Authorities are continuing to search for the suspect, who has not yet been identified.
Police described him as a 21-year-old Hispanic man, approximately 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and tattoos on both arms.
He was last seen driving an older model four-door sedan with an unknown licence plate, and investigators believe he may frequent the North Hills area.
The Los Angeles Police Department has urged anyone with information to come forward as efforts to locate the suspect continue.
Investigation Ongoing
The case remains under active investigation, with authorities working to piece together the suspect's movements and determine whether he may be linked to other incidents.
Police have not confirmed any arrests, and no charges have yet been filed.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about stranger approaches and the risks faced by young people in public spaces, particularly when repeated contact escalates into coercion.
For now, the focus remains on identifying the suspect and ensuring the safety of the community, while the two girls recover from what authorities have described as a deeply distressing experience.
